Etanercept, sold under the brand name Enbrel among others, is a biopharmaceutical that treats autoimmune diseases by interfering with tumor necrosis factor by acting as a TNF inhibitor. It has U.S. F.D.A. approval to treat rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis and psoriatic arthritis, plaque psoriasis and ankylosing spondylitis. TNF-alpha is the "master regulator" of the inflammatory response in many organ systems. Autoimmune diseases are caused by an overactive immune response. Etanercept has the potential to treat these diseases by inhibiting TNF-alpha.

A sad consumer writes "BEWARE OF THIS DRUG! After long standing Rheumatoid arthritis, I tried Enbrel for 1 year. It seemed to help in the first two months, then it stopping working. I subsequently developed severe blood infections, vision problems, severe non-healing wounds, nervous system disorders. I have been hospitalized for almost 1 year now. Prior to taking this drug, my arthritis was the only health problem I had. I had no other conditions or history of infection. All this occurred after taking this drug. I am not alone; look into the warnings before taking this drug!".

"They hire has beens from big pharmaceutical companies and their rejects. Managers are micro types and will protect the contract holder/manufacturer, not the reps. They will blame reps for everything. Data base and call decks were a complete mess. You could not adequately do your job. Stay away, not worth the money. Cons: All of it. Micro managers treat you like children. Contract ended with no notice"

"Odd hotel stays in hotels while covering annual leave for other colleagues is okay but then becomes a regular thing. Constantly working out of your normal working hours and also more administration work once your shift has ended. No increase in salary. You have a company car but they are quick to charge you hundreds for “light scuffs” of wear and tear which have accumulated from the long journeys they demand you do."

Also, you get ZERO training or help from Ashfiled and they never ever pay out your commissions on time. I got my last one 7 months later with no explanation other then "they are working on it". They even stole everyones first paycheck, the first one of the year without telling anyone and said we get it back when we leave the company. WORST company ever. Cons: They steal your commissions and paychecks & take months to give your money back."

A person can be laid off before they start Day 1 at company which some have been recently and they had given previous employers notice. One never knows how long your employment will be or how long projects will last. It is a glorified temp agency. They cannot compete with foreign companies that are taking the contract away with cheaper labor in Asia. Severe turn over rate. Cons: Disorganized; low pay, unstable, glorified temp agency; huge turnover rate, inexperienced, unfair management"
